Yes, it is completely free to use with no limits, signup, or account required.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Every size is generated entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded or sent to a server.
What sizes does it generate?
favicon-16x16.png, favicon-32x32.png, favicon-48x48.png, a 180×180 apple-touch-icon.png, and 192×192/512×512 icons for Android and web manifests — plus a favicon.ico packing the 16, 32, and 48px sizes.
Does my source image need to be square?
It's recommended, since favicons are conventionally square. If it isn't, the tool center-crops it to a square automatically and shows a note — it never blocks generation or stretches the image.
What does the site.webmanifest do?
It's a small JSON file that tells mobile browsers and Android "Add to Home Screen" which icons to use, along with a name, theme color, and display mode. It's generated for you and included in the download.
How do I use the downloaded files?
Unzip the download into the root of your site (alongside index.html), then paste the provided <head> snippet — which links favicon.ico, the PNG sizes, the apple-touch-icon, and the manifest — into your page's <head>.
Can I paste an image instead of uploading a file?
Yes. Copy an image to your clipboard and paste it directly onto the page, or drag and drop a file, or click Choose Image to browse. Files up to 30MB are supported.
